Not sure how many square feet your project is? Here is how to measure the most common tile areas accurately.
Measure the length and width of the room in feet. Multiply length × width. Example: 12 ft × 10 ft = 120 square feet. Add 10% for cuts and waste.
Measure the height and width of each wall you want tiled. Multiply each wall's height × width and add them together. Subtract any window or door openings. Add 15% for cuts.
Measure the width of the area above your countertops and multiply by the height (typically 18 inches or 1.5 feet). Subtract any windows or outlets. Add 10% for waste.
